Since 1989, UPAVIM Crafts has been dedicated to empowering the women of La Esperanza, Guatemala through economic opportunity and meaningful work. What began as a small health clinic grew into a women-led cooperative creating beautifully handcrafted textiles and home goods that support families and strengthen their community.
Each piece is sewn by hand, providing steady income, access to education and healthcare, and the chance for women to build brighter futures for their children.
For over thirty years, Altiplano has partnered with Mayan artisans in Guatemala to create beautifully handcrafted goods rooted in tradition. Each piece reflects generations of skill, honoring Mayan culture while providing fair wages and long-term employment for indigenous women.
Altiplano's work reflects what we care about most, honoring tradition, investing in women, and choosing craftsmanship that carries meaning beyond the product itself.
