Peru travelogue

It's been cold and rainy here in Maryland lately, so I've been daydreaming about my trip to beautiful Peru last Fall!  I wish I had a good excuse for not posting about it sooner... #butlifehappens.  My husband and I spent a week touring around Lima, Cusco, and the Sacred Valley in October... and we loved every minute!  I was so excited to meet with Mango + Main's newest artisan partners in Lima (I can't wait to introduce you, so I'll write a whole post about them another time)!  We also visited lots of markets and brought back beautiful artisan-made market finds... which sold out in the online shop within days!

Peru has such a rich cultural tradition and history of weaving, beadwork, embroidery, and many other skills.  Everywhere we looked, there were women weaving on looms with naturally-dyed cotton.  The markets were full of colorful textiles and incredible products from each region.  I could've spent weeks looking through each table and stall!
