Based right here in Maryland, Hon’s Honey is made in Curtis Bay by a team of resilient women who have rebuilt their lives through meaningful work. When Shannon, Vivi, and I (Lianna) visited their headquarters, we met the women who have been crafting their products for us since we first opened our doors in downtown Annapolis six years ago. Listening to them share their journeys, from addiction, homelessness, and trauma to community and independence, it was truly an honor. Every jar on our shelf represents a new chapter in someone’s life.

Hon’s Honey began through a nonprofit called Drink At The Well, which supports women in Baltimore with counseling, childcare, and job training. Out of that space came a realization that changed everything, true healing happens when women are given the chance to work and thrive. Today, that's exactly what Hons Honey provides. The women at Hons Honey handcraft small batches of raw and infused honey sourced from hives across Maryland, including some in community gardens right in Curtis Bay. They’re supported, encouraged, and given the chance to thrive.

                       

We watched their infused honey being made, and immediately knew we wanted to share it with you. Back in the shop, our shelves are lined with their favorites, jars of honey infused with rosemary, elderberry, and a hot honey habanero that’s perfect for drizzling on pizza. And this year, we’re thrilled to add something new: honey sticks in both regular and hot honey, because even tea on the go deserves a little sweetness.
